WHO IS PART OF HSC?
HSC is made up of more than 20 employers and health funds representing more than 300,000 Southern Nevada patients. Member organizations include the Clark County and City of Las Vegas Firefighters, Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, MGM Mirage Corporation and the Culinary Health Fund. Click here for a full list of our members.
HOW IS HSC FUNDED?
Our members pay dues based on the number of employees they represent. They must commit in writing (Participation Agreement) to the Coalition’s dual goals of achieving affordable rates and introducing accountability for the quality of care into the process.
IF I'M NOT A MEMBER, HOW DOES HSC HELP ME?
As the states largest health care consumer advocate, HSC is dedicated to raise the quality of care for all residents in Southern Nevada. Through hospital quality initiatives and government relations efforts, HSC improves health care throughout the state for members and non members alike.
DOES HSC BENEFIT FROM HOSPITAL AND PATIENT REPORTING?
Hospital and patient reporting is important not only to HSC but to all Nevadans as it is the best and easiest way to encourage area hospitals to improve in areas of need. The reports are completely unadulterated, creating transparency in areas of improvement and highlighting areas of exemplary performance.
HOW CAN I BECOME A MEMBER OF HSC?
Due to anti-trust laws, membership in the organization is limited to a short list of employers and health funds located in Southern Nevada. Individuals who work for or are represented by these organizations are member participants. If you are interested in receiving updates from HSC or possible future membership please click here. |
