The Nutrition for Life program is a collaborative partnership to serve the needs of Southern Nevadans that are food insecure by providing healthy food and case management with supportive services.
People having emergency food needs can receive nutritional food at the existing food pantry operated by United Labor Agency of Nevada (ULAN). The staff at ULAN will assess the client’s situation to determine the necessary referrals to link those in need with various supportive services that are provided by partnering agencies. ULAN also provides on-site classes including health and nutrition, financial counseling, career connections and smoking cessation. Clients can receive food once a month provided they are completing their case plan.
A Nevada ID, social security card and current utility bill are needed by the applicant. The quantity of food is determined by the number in the family, so social security cards are necessary for all family members, ID’s for those 18 years of age and older and birth certificates for those 17 years of age and younger.
Food pantry hours are Monday through Thursday from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. ULAN is located at 1201 N. Decatur Blvd., Suite 106, Las Vegas, NV 89108 or available via telephone at 702-648-3500.
